“Oscar season is very important to them and they get quite excited about it,” she told Yahoo UK. “To make them look their best, treatments start three months in advance.
“Some people even say, ‘I hate Christmas because that’s when the Oscar prep regime starts.'”
In the two weeks before the event, however, the treatments begin to intensify, says Badia.
“These are usually a combination of collagen stimulation techniques, microneedling and radio frequency – to really improve collagen and skin tone, and some body tightening treatments, which are all non-surgical and are done by different devices and estheticians.”

dr. Safa Al-Naher, director of the dental and facial aesthetics clinic Serene Dental, says that celebrities who want to work on the quality of their skin from the inside out usually opt for laser treatments.
“Laser treatments like the Indo lift, which can help tighten the skin, dissolve the fat that’s under the skin,” he says. “Also surface lasers, CO2 lasers, can help break up scars and generally improve skin texture.”
Other treatments such as chemical peels and skin improvement treatments are also popular in consultation with skin care professionals. These can “visibly change the results on all skin types”, says dr. Al-Naher.
