What hasn't your hairdresser told you about blonde hair colour?

Česa vam vaš frizer še ni povedal o blond barvi las? - Lime Booking
Only 2% people worldwide are naturally blonde and the more limited and hard to access something is, the more desirable it is. Read more about the reasons behind the obsession with this colour.

There has always been an obsession with beauty, about which poets have written epics and soldiers have kept grainy photographs in foxholes. This beauty comes with a blonde hairstyle and internalises glamour and sexuality. Every hairdresser knows that this colour has a special effect on people. But why 'blonde'?

Hollywood has taught us...

When you think of the "bombshell", think not only of the woman herself, but also of the frenzy of desire that surrounds her. Everyone thinks of Marilyn Monroe first.

With her blonde hair, she was the centre of every room she walked into. Knowing this, she even refused to play alongside someone with the same hair colour or under lighting that would make her protective colour look different.

"You can't separate the context of what blonde represented in Hollywood from what you want to be associated with when you dye your hair that colour."

The pioneer of platinum blondes - Jean Harlow

Jean Harlow wowed movie-goers with her sultry sex appeal and shocking blonde hair when Marilyn Monroe was still in kindergarten.

Her first recognisable hairstyle and "platinum colour" was designed by Max Factor himself.

"When I dye someone new light and they leave the salon, you realise that their hair colour connects with their style. It complements them. You don't even remember what colour they might have started with. You notice them more."

Will blonde always be the ideal of beauty?

Only 2% people worldwide are naturally blonde and the more limited and hard to access something is, the more desirable it is. For this reason, people all over the world today lighten their hair to stand out more (with the exception of nations where the majority have lighter hair, e.g. Scandinavians). But will it always be like this?

Given that today it is already difficult to distinguish between natural and "unnatural" blondes and blondes, it may well be that in the future blondes will lose their distinctiveness.
